Islamic Jurisprudence with Hanafi Evidence: Hajj & Umrah

This advanced program provides a detailed exploration of the rites of Hajj and Umrah through the specific lens of Hanafi jurisprudence. The curriculum is designed as a literary study, presenting technical rulings alongside original Arabic texts from the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Fiqh manuals. Students will examine the usul (principles) explaining how the Hanafi school prioritised specific divine evidences over others. The course covers the legal definitions, the internal fatwas among the Hanafi fuqaha—specifically Imams Abu Hanifa, Abu Yusuf, and Muhammad al-Shaybani—and the worldly and spiritual benefits of these sacred acts. All materials follow British English standards and include authentic citations and classical poetry.
